Based in Bangkok, Sippapas Thienwiwat (b. 2006) is a Thai composer and digital artist whose work lies at the intersection of diverse sonic practices—from audiovisual live coding and live electronics improvisation to electroacoustic composition and sound diffusion. Under the moniker SKYKYS, his digital art explores immersive audiovisual landscapes through a fusion of digital arts, creative coding, and music technology. As a composer-performer, his work investigates electronic sound production and the transformation of its properties through electroacoustic composition, live performance, and sound installations.

Sippapas has performed and collaborated with institutions and venues around the world, including BEAST FEaST 2025, SyReN SYNTHposium 2025, Asia-Pacific Improvisers Symposium 2025, University of North Texas CEMI (with Just the TRS! Electronics Sextet), MUSLAB 2025 International Electroacoustic Music Festival, Sonorities Festival Belfast 2026, Most Wanted: Music 2025 Hybrid Music Lab, SomaRumor: IV Encontro Latino-americano de Arte Sonora (Rádio Soma), Current Plans Hong Kong (with Sonic Officer), Thailand International Composition Festival 2025, Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival 2024-2025, Princess Galyani Vadhana International Symposium 2024-2025 (with Triphens Ensemble and BEAST, respectively), IntAct Festival 2024-2025, and Bangkok Kunsthalle evals. Past local performance locations include EmSphere Shopping Mall, Goethe-Institut Thailand, Bangkok Kunsthalle, BLAQLYTE Rover, Clutch BKK, Studio Lam, Tentacles Workshop, Noise House, JAM BKK, Akirart Cafe Studio, Three Layer Cafe, and SYNAP home/lab.

Sippapas is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Creative Arts and Technology at the Institute of Music, Science, and Engineering, KMITL, where he also conducts practice-based research in electronic arts and listening practices. In parallel with his academic studies, he is currently studying sonic arts and digital art under the private tutelage of Thanapat Ogaslert, with previous studies in music composition conducted under Dr Tyler Capp. He is also a performing audiovisual livecoding artist and a diffusion artist of Cornea Cochlear Club, a collective focused on audiovisual livecoding music co-founded by his mentor.

Sippapas is the President, Founder, and Artist-in-Residence of the Thai ElectroAcoustic Music Society (TEAMS), a Thai-based student-run nonprofit organization established in 2025.

ในบทบาทของนักประพันธ์ดนตรีและนักดนตรีไฟฟ้า งานของสิปปภาสสำรวจบทบาทของเครื่องดนตรีไฟฟ้าในกระบวนการประพันธ์ดนตรีไฟฟ้า (Electronic Music) และดนตรีอิเล็คโทรอคูสติก (Electroacoustic Music) ผ่านการใช้เทคโนโลยีและอุปกรณ์ในรูปแบบอนาล็อกและดิจิทัล

SKYKYS ([ˈskaɪ ˈkeɪ ˈwaɪ ˈɛs]; b. 2006) is the alter ego of Thai digital artist and composer Sippapas Thienwiwat presenting sound and video arts through livecoding and live electronics performance. His works traverse through a post-digital audiovisual landscape, blending his unromanticized sound palette infused by his training in electroacoustic composition with his characteristic use of audio visualization in video art using oscilloscopes and minimalistic color palette. SKYKYS has performed in a diverse list of venues, from the BEAST sound theatre at the University of Birmingham and Current Plans gallery in Hong Kong to the EmSphere shopping mall, Bangkok-based livecoding hub SYNAP home/lab, and the multichannel audio system at Bangkok Kunsthalle where he designed the TEAMSmulch sound diffusion system for 8.2 loudspeakers. As a member of the Cornea Cochlear Club, Sippapas has been using the SKYKYS alter ego as a reference point for his personal research in multichannel audiovisual livecoding.

ชิ้นงานของ SKYKYS เดินทางผ่านภูมิทัศน์แห่งเสียงและภาพในยุค Post-Digital โดยผสมผสานพาเล็ตเสียงที่ไม่ถูกฟังแบบเพ้อฝัน ซึ่งรับอิทธิพลมาจากการศึกษาทางด้านการประพันธ์ดนตรีอิเล็กโทรอคูสติก รวมงานภาพเคลื่อนไหวที่ใช้การแสดงข้อมูลทางเสียง (Audio Visualization) ผ่านศิลปะกราฟิกออสซิลโลสโคป (Oscilloscope) และพาเล็ตสีแบบมินิมอล (Minimal Color Palette)

SKYKYS ได้แสดงในหลากหลายสถานที่ทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศ ตั้งแต่โรงละครเสียง BEAST ที่ University of Birmingham ในสหราชอาณาจักรและแกลเลอรี่ Current Plans ในฮ่องกง ไปจนถึงห้างสรรพสินค้า EmSphere กับ SYNAP home/lab ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์รวมดนตรี Livecoding ในไทย และระบบเสียงรอบทิศทางของ Bangkok Kunsthalle ที่ SKYKYS ได้พัฒนาระบบการกระจายเสียงแบบดิฟฟิวชั่น (Sound Diffusion) TEAMSmulch ไว้สำหรับระบบลำโพง 8.2
